Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown – Akira Combo Video by Apocryphic Visions
In his latest Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown combo video, Apocryphic Visions takes on a character some believe to be the hardest to master in any fighting game: Akira Yuki. Even with the strict timing and positioning, but he does a good job of providing combos for all weight classes and offering a look at what makes Virtua Fighter’s lead character unique.
Akira is reportedly the hardest character to master in Virtua Fighter, maybe in fighting games period. Even through he is the figurehead of the series, Akira’s frame dependent moves makes him a hard person to learn and even harder to master.
With this in mind, I decided to take on the challenge of making Akira players proud. A lot of the combos in this video involve his notorious 1 frame knee launcher mainly because it hits really low to the ground, launches crouching opponents AND does great damage. I also used a variety of opponents from the light weights all the way to Taka to show Akira can combo any size well.
