Road to EVO 2012 – Midwest Championships 2012 This Weekend

The Road to EVO 2012 is reaching its end near Game Galaxy Arcade in Antioch, Tennessee. Midwest Championships 2012 is the last of the Road to EVO events this year, with tournaments for each of the EVO games, several arcade titles along with a mystery tournament:

  • Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver.2012
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  • Street Fighter X Tekken
  • SoulCalibur V
  • Mortal Kombat
  • The King of Fighters XIII
  • BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND – side tournament
  • Skullgirls – $200 bonus + Foe Hammer arcade stick
  • Mortal Kombat II – side tournament
  • Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – side tournament
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo – TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS qualifier
  • Samurai Kirby – Mystery Tournament, from Kirby Super Star

Note that each of the tournaments is scheduled to start and complete on the same day. There is no official stream for MWC, but Sixfortyfive is currently streaming casuals for day 2 of the event. It’s currently unclear whether he’ll be able to cover tournament play, however.
