Sega VF5: Final Showdown Tournament Information @ Evo

Sega is excited to host its Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown side tournament at EVO 2012!  Since the first announcement about the tournament, there have been many questions about fees, logistics, and prizes.  You’ll find your answers below.

Registration, Fees, and Tournament Times

To be entered into the tournament, you’ll need to visit the registration site and pay the $15 entrance fee. Registration opens at 10:00 am Thursday, May 17th. Sega is only accepting the first 256 entries, so you’ll have to be quick! All registration will close at 11:55pm on June 25th, 2012. No on-site registration will be allowed.

The tournament will primarily take place on Friday and Saturday, with the Grand Finals and Losers Finals taking place on Sunday. The Virtua Fighter Tournament does not require an EVO Competitor’s Pass to participate, but you will need to follow the Evo Spectator Pass policies so that you are able to get into the tournament hall.

Tournament Prizes

The tournament requires a non-refundable $15 entry fee, payable only through Paypal. The prize pot will be composed of all entree fees, as well as an additional $15,000 contributed by Sega.

The $15,000 will be split as follows. All pot money from entry fees will be added on top of these amounts and will be announced at a later date.

4: $1,200
