WB Games and NetherRealm Studios to Provide $1,000 Pot Bonus for MK9 at UFGT8, ECT4, and CEO 2012

The Road to EVO just got a whole lot better for the Mortal Kombat community. WB Games and NetherRealm Studios recently announced that they will be sponsoring Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8, CEO 2012 Fighting Game Championships, and East Coast Throwdown 4 with a $1,000 pot bonus for MK9. This is definitely great news for Mortal Kombat players and should ignite some pretty heavy competition.

In addition to the normal payouts for each tournament, the following bonuses will be applied to the Top 8 players at UFGT8 and CEO. ECT4′s payout breakdown is unreleased at this time. -

1st – $400 Dollar Bonus
2nd – $200 Dollar Bonus
3rd – $100 Dollar Bonus
4th – $80 Dollar Bonus
5th – $60 Dollar Bonus
7th – $50 Dollar Bonus

If you’re competing at any of these tournaments be sure to register before it’s too late.

Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8: Chicago – May 25-27
East Coast Throwdown: Morristown, N.J. – June 9-10
CEO 2012: Orlando, Fla. – June 15-17

They can’t fix the bugs and when it comes to character balance they fixed the infinites and now they should just wait and let the game evolve.

    you forgot the fact that player one always gets trade advantage (possible bug) this is the one real thing that stops this game from truly being able to be taken seriously.) The input bug isn’t such a big deal. you can work around it. It’s also not fixable sadly. They could try and run the risk of breaking the game in a worse way

  The are no infinites! only combos that do 69% health.

  The lack of a good online experience for ranked, and PC version will still kill the game. Mortal Kombat itself may never die but MK9 1.05 on the console versions will die because its not any fun at a high level online. The only respectable MK9 is MK9 offline.

    actually the 360 online works fine(as far as I play with people around the world: compared to other fighters now). and MLG showed that online warriors are a threat. CURBOLICIOUS took top 4 at MLG(MK_Legend another up and coming online warrior, with more every tournament). First tournament. Really isn’t as big of a deal anymore, you can train online more than well enough. Stay current before making such strong comments.

Though I’m not a big fan of MK ya gotta respect the company getting behind their game and community throwing money into the pots like this. I wish CAPCOM would do it, I enjoy watching Marvel and I’d love to see people even more motivated to be the best at that game .

That’s how you do it, just spread the money around a little bit, sweetening 4 pots with $1000 is way better than sweetening 1 pot with $4000
